After a long summer reccess the 2022-23 Season started with the Mhairi Holms Opening Bonspiel. Four teams were competing in two four end games with the winner the highest up shots overall. At the change scores were tight with the team of James H, Andy C, Colin and Sheila two shots down, and the team of Andy R, Ewen and Graeme two shots up over Billy, Magaret S and Robert.
In the second half however, the team of James R, Rhona and Marilyn romped home with a 4 end win and a total score of +9 to come out worthy winners of the trophy.
