The medals matches of the doubles competition took place on Monday. Playing for gold were Margaret S and Billy against Andy C and James H, who were quick off the blocks bagging a four at the first end and stealing a two at the second. Billy swapped to throwing first and last stones, but even with their power play they couldn’t turn the tables. Andy C and James H get gold with Billy and Margaret S silver.
The bronze match was much closer with Graeme and James R nudging ahead with a tremendous split on a guard by Graeme for three. One shot up at the last end and lying two guarded a double take out gave a score of two and the match to Sheila and Colin.
