First of all congratulations to Brian and his Team 2 for winning the Kirktonfield Cup on Wednesday with a polished performance against Team 3, which was skipped by James R. Perhaps James and his team peaked in their match against my team in the semi-final on Monday?
Our Club has a busy and varied curling menu for January which starts with the Rotating Skip Bonspiel on Monday 8th January at 6pm.
On Saturday 13th January at 3pm, we will be playing the annual friendly against Barrhead Fereneze for the Jack Barr Salver. We need 8 members to represent your club.
The Pairs competition starts with the quarter finals on Wednesday 10th followed by the semi-finals on Monday 15th and the final on Wednesday17th .
Directly after the final of the Pairs, sometime between 10 and 10.30pm, we will be drawing the shot for Johnnie’s Pound.
The Doubles competition starts on Monday 22nd at 8.30pm. It will be followed by the final on Wednesday 24th at 6pm. Don’t worry if you don’t have much experience in playing Doubles, as there will be plenty of advice and guidance on hand.
Finally our curling in January will close with the Points competition on Wednesday 31st January at 8.30pm.
