On Saturday two teams from Neilston met two teams from Barrhead Fereneze CC to compete for the Jack Barr Salver. After a positive start from Neilston both Barrhead teams staged a comeback but Neilston ran out winners with a combined score of Neilston 25 – Barrhead Fereneze 17.
The curling season resumed for the New Year with the Que Sera Bonspiel. On Wednesday evening the final of the Kirktonfield Cup took place with Team James R winning 8-7 over runners-up Billy,Colin,Andy R & Rhona.
Following a win in the semi final on Monday, Team Billy will face straight to final qualifiers Team James R in the final of the Kirktonfield Cup on Wednesday.
With only two matches remaining in the league section, Team James R go top of the table and have secured qualification to the knockout stage. The remaining teams face a nail biting finish to the league and their chances of qualification.
