Cups and Trophies
NEILSTON CURLING CLUB CUPS and TROPHIES
McLeod Cup. Presented to the club in 1893 by the Rev. Peter McLeod, Member and Chaplain to Neilston Curling Club, from 1885 until his death in 1896.
Leggat Cup. Presented to the club in 1910 by A. Leggat.
Kirktonfield Cup. Presented to the club by Keyland Development in 1972. Now presented to winners of Knock out Competition.
Broadlie Cup. Presented by Jean Wilson in 1975 for the Pairs Competition.
Jack Barr Memorial Salver. Presented by Ethel Barr in 1975 for an annual match between Neilston CC and Barrhead Fereneze CC in memory of Jack Barr who was a member of both Clubs.
Greenacres Salver.Presented by Elma Cuthbertson in 1979 for annual league competition.
Reid Rose Bowl. Presented in 1983 by Jenny Reid for ladies Bonspiel Competition. Now presented to winners of Reid Rose Bowl Bonspiel.
Points Competition Shield. Presented by Pauline McMurdo in 1990 for the Points Competition.
Cowdenhall Challenge Salver. Annual friendly between Neilston CC and Uplawmoor CC. Although a friendly has been played between the two clubs for many years The Salver was passed to Neilston Curling Club when Crofthead Mill closed in 1995 It was decided to use the Salver as the trophy for this annual Uplawmoor-Neilston Friendly match.
Johnnies Pound. Neilston CC member, The late John Carswell, Kirkton Farm, Neilston was always having side wagers as to who could draw their stone closest to the button. This Trophy was presented to the club as a memorial to John Carswell in 1995 and is presented to the winner of a 'drawing the shot' match which takes place every year directly after the Pairs final.
Que Sera Quaich. Presented in 2008 by Bruce Henry in memory of his late partner Vivian Kerr (and named after her horse) for presentation to the winners of the Rotating Skips Bonspiel - "What will be, will be"
